Wywiad z wielkim grafikiem - Vitaly Alexiusem Samarinem. Przeprowadzony przez Grzegorza Karwaszewskiego, na potrzeby deviantART.

I have honor to present you first interview on dA with =alexiuss, great digital and tradictional artist.

=majareq: At the beginning I want to thanks, that You have found moment for me. I know that you are quite busy man, so will try to summarize.
Tell me whether you were always sure that your life will fill the digital and traditional art?

Alexiuss: When I was about 11, I was certain I'd be a traditional artist. At 22 however, I became fully successful in digital and now I'm pretty sure I'll stay digital... but who knows where the future lies and where painting technology goes.perhaps we'll be painting with our thoughts and call it "mental art"

=majareq: From time perspective, how do you rate your first art?

Alexiuss: Althought I can't remember my 1st art exactly, I'm sure that it was awesome for a 4 year old.

=majareq: How was your first experience in Deviant Art?

Alexiuss: A bit sad. I didn't get any comments at first, so I stopped posting for a year, until I saw that the key to getting comments is consistent weekly posting.

=majareq: What do You think about dA Community?

Alexiuss: It's great. I've learned lots of things from dA, met many delicious people online and offline from it and ate them.

=majareq: If you could change something or add something in the deviantART, what would you do?

Alexiuss: I'd bring back V5 dA ordering images by favs alone system for search function. V6's favourites based on random category organization makes it slightly harder to find stuff through search.

=majareq: Can You tell us somethink about 'Dreaminism'?

Alexiuss: Dreaminism is my art style- a sense of shifted reality realized in the split second before waking up.
It's full of high contrasts, realistic yet fantasy scenes and romantically apocalyptic scenery- and can easely be recognized from a mile away. (helps in beating up art thieves).

=majareq: What are your memories of the Novokuznetsk? How growing up in those regions affected your work?

Alexiuss: Wonderful. It's an entirely different world- a world of beauty and life, corruption and decay, charming nature and deadly pollution.
In fact, my very first art inspiration came to me in 1995, Novokuznetsk, Siberia…
On the gabled cottage roof, covered in wooden planks, moldings, and swirly carvings, I’ve met a local artist. He was drawing some kind of forest on his canvas, via the view from the rooftop. I admired his glorious skill and pondered what it would be like to become an artist myself. Later on, I was enjoying a nice hike via the good old Trans-Siberian railway of the Soviet Union, while climbing various green mountains, covered with lush vegetations, with my good friends of that time.
Upon the climb, we sat on the mountain side, enjoying the mid-day sun, bursting though the clouds, in an explosion of light rays that lived on their own accord, playing with the shadows of the mountains, forests, and fields below.
The wind rolled about the fields, creating a magical, wavy sea of orange grasses.
And at that moment on I’ve said to myself:
“Every artist has their style. Whatever shall be mine?…"
… and while staring at those rays of light I had decided- "I shall become the master of the landscape and the sky. And draw it in a manner of a tasty delicacy that can be consumed in large quantities via the spoon of visual perception- and thus the delectable sky full of light rays that you see in most of my works now, was born.”It took me (counts fingers)… 15 years to master those rays of light.

=majareq: What's your recipe for success in deviantART?

Alexiuss: Post often and never give up. Eventually you'll get lots of watchers.

=majareq: And the last question – What are your plans for the future?

Alexiuss: Lots and lots of fun photography.
Traveling around the world, building a cathedral and buying a zeppelin.

=majareq: Thanks a lot!
